Biography
Sammy "Sam" Hyder, 64, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in San Antonio, TX, on November 1, 1955, a lifelong resident of Spartanburg; son of the late Elizabeth Irene “Betty” Bishop Hyder and Otis Calvin Hyder, Sr.; widower of Patricia Ann Copeland Hyder.
Retired from car sales at Vic Bailey Ford.
Survived by a son, Chad Hyder (Deanne); brothers; Johnny Hyder, Bobby Hyder, Jerry Hyder, and Pat Hyder; sisters, Debbie, Sharon, and Polly, and two grandsons, Dalton Lipsey and Braxton Hyder.
Also predeceased by a brother, Otis Calvin “Big O” Hyder.
