Biography
Charles was born in 1884[1] He was the son of William Hylands and Elizabeth Coates. He was christened 7th December 1884 in Cobham, Surrey, England[2] He was living with his mother and siblings at High Street, Cobham, Surrey, England and he was attending school in 1891[3] He was living with his mother brother and step-family at Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, England and he was working as a Cowman On Farm in 1901[4] He was living with his aunt, uncle and cousins in Cibham, Surrey, England and he was working as a Assistant Butcher in 1911[5] He married Amy Turner in Cobham, Surrey, England in 1915[6] He was the father of 3 children. He joined the military 50th Battalion, Army Service Corps in 1915[7] In 1919 he was part of the 50th Squadron Remount and still in Royal Army Service Corps[8] He passed away in 1961. He was buried at Cobham Cemetery, Cobham, surrey[9]
