Biography

Birth and Early Life

According to Bona Arsenault [1] Pierre HÉBERT was born around 1706 to Pierre HÉBERT (Sr) and Elisabeth/Isabelle/Jeanne LANDRY. Together Pierre Sr and Elisabeth had 4 known children:

  1. Jean HÉBERT (b: Abt 1703 in Acadia)
  2. Marguerite HÉBERT (b: Abt 1705 in Beaubassin, Acadia)
  3. Pierre (dit Perroche) HÉBERT (b: Abt 1707 in Beaubassin, Acadia)
  4. Marie HÉBERT (b: Abt 1709 in Beaubassin, Acadia)

About 1709, when Pierre was age 2, his mother, Elisabeth, age 24, died in Acadia.

About 1710, Pierre's father remarried to Marie Josephe BLOU. Together Pierre Sr. and Marie Josephe had 6 children, half-siblings to Pierre:

  1. Joseph HÉBERT b: Abt 1713 in Beaubassin m: 25 January 1734 to Madeleine Poirier, daughter of Jean & Marie Cormier.[2]
  2. Francois HÉBERT b: Abt 1714 in Beaubassin
  3. Marie Anne HÉBERT b: Abt 1716 in Acadia
  4. Claude HÉBERT b: 18 Mar 1720 in Acadia c: 27 Apr 1720 in Beaubassin Acadia

Marriage and Children

Around 1728, Pierre, age ABT 19, married Marie-Madeleine GAUDET, ABT age 16, in Beaubassin, Acadia. [3] They lived in the town of Beaubassin, Acadia, a French colony; today near Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada. The population of Beaubassin was about 2,800 at that time. Together Pierre and Marie-Madeleine had 10 children, all born in Acadia:

  1. Pierre HÉBERT (b. 1729)
  2. Pierre HÉBERT (b. 1734)
  3. Madeline HÉBERT (b. 1740; d. 1757 in Quebec)

Arsenault also reports that Pierre was in Québec in 1757, and at Saint-Antoine-de-Chambly in 1767.

Death and Burial

In 1757, Pierre 's wife Madeleine died.

Pierre died after 1767.
