Biography

Domithilde Hébert was born on 7 Oct 1832 in Cocagne , Colony of New Brunswick , Canada, daughter of Fidèle Hébert and Marguerite Vautour.^[1][2]

Domitille Hebert married Israel Melancon, son of Romain Melancon and Modeste Melancon, on 15 Nov 1853 in Grande-Digue.^[3][4]

Domitille married for a second time to Jude Goguen, son of Joseph Goguen and Angèle Thibodeau, on 15 Nov 1886 in Cocagne.^[5]

In the 1901 census Domitilde, age 67, was the wife of Jude Goguen in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.^[6]

She died on 10 May 1904 in Cocagne, aged 71.^[7]

Research Notes

A date of death of 15 Nov 1898 in Cocagne was previously entered for this profile, but Domithilde was still living in the 1901 census. She died between 1901 and 1907, when her husband Jude Goguen remarried. There is a Domithilde Hébert who died on 2 Nov 1898 in Cocagne, but she was the wife of Simon Goguen (see Hébert-3866).
