Her parents were Nail Maker, Benjamin (Ibberson) and Rebecca (Truelove), who married on the 26 July 1919 at the Parish Church of All Saints, in the Village of Darton, Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, on the West Yorkshire border, England. Benjamin's occupation is recorded here as being a Nail Maker[2].

Marriage
Benjamin (Slater) marries Ann (Ibberson) on the 25 July 1852 at the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist, Dodworth Green Road, in the Village of Dodworth, near the Town of Barnsely, in the Borough of Barnsley in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England[4][5].
Ann first appears in the 1841 Census with her parents Benjamin (Ibberson) and Rebecca (Truelove), along with her siblings George, Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Martha, Joseph and Rachel. Their address is the Village of Mapplewell, near the larger Village of Darton, Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, on the West Yorkshire border, England[6]. She is still living with her parents, as well as her siblings William, Elizabeth (Ibberson) Hague, Benjamin, Matthew, Rachel and John (Ibberson) and nephew, Walter (Hague). They reside at Walton Square, Village of Darton, Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, on the West Yorkshire border, Barnsley District, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding), England. Ann's occupation is recorded as being a Smock Maker for a Tailor[7].
With the arrival of the 1861 Census, Benjamin (Slater) has married Ann (Ibberson) and they live with their children Mary, Elizabeth Ann and Sarah Ann at Dodworth Green, Village of Dodworth, Barnsley District, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding), England[8]. By 1871, Benjamin and Ann are still living in the Village of Dodworth with their children Elizabeth Ann, Laura and Emma[9]. With the 1881 Census, they are still in the Village of Dodworth at 14 Barnsley Road, Dodworth Parish, Barnsley District, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding), England. They live there with their daughters Laura and Phoebe and grandson, Willie (Lockwood)[10].
Unfortunately, by the 1891 Census, Ann is now a widow living with her married daughter Laura (Slater); Laura's husband, Shoemaker, Henry (Allen) and their children Florence Mary, Alice and Granville (Allen) at 2 Green Road, in the Village of Dodworth, Dodworth Parish, Barnsley District, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding), England[11]. By 1901, she has moved to 5 Green Road with fellow widow, Sarah (Coldwell). They are both living on their own means[12].
Death/Burial
Ann (Ibberson) passes away on the 30 June 1905 at 5 Green Road, in the Village of Dodworth, Dodworth Parish, Barnsley District, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding), England. She was 73 years old at the time of her death[13]. She is interred on the 8 July 1905 in the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist, Dodworth Green Road, in the Village of Dodworth, near the Town of Barnsely, in the Borough of Barnsley in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England[14][15].
