Biography

Sarah (Iiams) Jackson was born in Appalachia, in Maryland.

Sarah Howard Ijams was born October 16, 1796 to William Ijams and Elizabeth Howard in Washington County, Maryland.

She married John Jay Jackson on January 25, 1818 in St. Louis, Missouri. Their children were:

  1. Nancy Ann Jackson
  2. Joseph P. Jackson[1]

She died, at the age of 32, on February 12, 1829 in Fairfield County, Ohio. There is no grave marker, but all information indicates that she is buried in Rushville Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fairfield County, Ohio with other Ijams family members.[2]
