The following year 1704, her son Sigurdur Arason is executed for the murder of Sæmundur Þórarinsson (40yrs) while he conspired and had an affair with Sæmundur's wife, Steinunn Guðmundsdóttir (43yrs). This was proven when Sigurdur Arason and Steinunn Guðmundsdóttir's remains were discovered and DNA testing was performed, later discovering their identity.
