Eri Ingalls, Sr. 1857-1932

Eri R. Ingalls, Sr., 74 years of age, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John V. Randall of Falk Township on February 1st at 11:45 o'clock p.m. Mr. Ingalls had been in ill health most of the winter, suffering from the effects of double pneumonia. He was 74 years, ten months and nine days at the time of his death. Mr. Ingalls was born near Trempeleau, Wisconsin March 23, 1857 and came to Becker County when a young man. For over fifty years he resided in that county. At Cormorant he met Rachel Perdy McLoed who became his bride November 25, 1882. To them were born six sons and five daughters, Maude Amanda who died in infancy, Edwin, Eri, Joshua, Warren, Iron Russ and one adopted son, Earl; Mrs. John V. Randahl, Mrs. Chris Dahl, Mrs. Frank Sim, and Mrs. Bennie Olson. He is also survived by his wife and two brothers, W.E. Ingalls of Pelican Rapids and F.A. Ingalls of Miles City, Montana. Funeral services are to be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Neujahr Funeral Home. Rev. Lester Whiting of Battle Lake will officiate and interment will be made in the Bagley Cemetery.
