Biography

Ingersoll, Samuel birth 6: 8th mo 1658 at Salem, MA a son of John and Judeth. ^[1]

"At age 37 years Samuel Ingersal [Ingersall; Ingersol; Ingersoll; Ingerson] passed away 19 Nov 1696, Salem." ^[3]

Samuel was a shipmaster, usually employed in foreign trade. In 1694 he commanded the "Prudent Mary", with his brother Richard Ingersoll as a seaman Samuel left an estate of 538 pounds. He married Sarah, who after his death married Stephen English.
