That does not look like a contradiction.

I accepted the proposed merge with Lydia Ann Ingersoll (Ingersoll-439). On my Ancestry.com tree, I have John Louis Waldon and Raymond Waldon as the children of Lydia and Solomon, but George, James, and Samuel as Solomon's children with his first wife, Mary E. Eddy. Mary's name appears on George's death certificate (Ancestry.com, Indiana, U.S., Death Certificates, 1899-2011) and in his marriage record (Ancestry.com, Indiana, U.S., Select Marriages Index, 1748-1993).

Ingersoll-977 and Ingersoll-439 appear to represent the same person because: Same name and the same location of birth. Duplicate entries.
