I John Ingle of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind & perfect memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in the following manner to wit.
First of all I will my soul to God who gave it on my body to the dust whence it came to be buried in decent Christian like manner. 2nd It is my will that my Executor to be hereafter named, pay off all my just debts. 3rd It is my will that my Executor sell all my land, horsed, cattle, hogs, sheep, farming tools, household & kitchen furniture. First giving due public Notice of the sale, the proceeds of the saile to be divided as hereafter mentioned to my children. 4th I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mencheatter Job's two children John and Elizabeth, their mother's portion. One eight part of my estate to be kept by Executor till they come of age & interest paid out to each one for schooling. If they die before they become of age the money to be equally divided amongst the rest of my children. 5th I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Frankie Thomas one eighth of my estate. 6th I will and bequeath to my beloved son Govain Ingle one eighth part of my estate by his paying to my executor or accounting to him for twenty Dollars money that I paid for him. 7th I will and bequeath to my beloved son Anthony Ingle one eighth of my estate. 8th I will and bequeath to my beloved son Gilbert Ingle one eighth of my estate by his paying or accounting to my executor for ten Dollars money that I lent him. 9th I will and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Susan Ingle one eighth of my estate. 10th I will and bequeath to my beloved son Manuel Ingle one eighth of my estate. 11th I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Elizabeth Ingle one eighth of my estate.
Last of all I hereby appoint my friend William M. Mebane Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & affixed my seal this 26th Dec 1851.
