Elizabeth Mary Ingledew was born in 1854 in Guisborough, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. [1] She was the daughter of George Inglediew and Sarah Jane Hehden. [2]
Elizabeth married Frederick Cook in 1877 in Guisborough, North Riding of Yorkshire. [3]
The couple migrated to Queensland (Australia) about 1879, shortly after the birth of their first daughter. They made their home near Maroon, in Queensland's Scenic Rim, where their, then, two daughters died in 1882 within a fortnight of one another. They couple went on to raise a family of five sons.
Aged 74 years, Elizabeth passed away on 27th July 1928 in Queensland. [4] She was survived by her husband, who passed nine years later, and four of their sons. Her eldest son, Algernon, had been killed in action in Flanders in 1917.
