When William Mill Ingold was born on 1 January 1829, in Alamance, North Carolina, United States, his father, John Ingold, was 25 and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Bowman, was 24. He married Sarah Staley on 6 April 1850, in Randolph, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. After her death, he married Lucinda Davis in 1860 in Webster, Missouri. He lived in Howell Township, Howell, Missouri, United States in 1880 and Sisson Township, Howell, Missouri, United States in 1900. He died on 17 November 1910, in West Plains, Ripley, Missouri, United States, at the age of 81, and was buried in Galloway Cemetery, West Plains, Ripley, Missouri, United States.
