I believe the elder John (Ingram-116) had no middle name. Contemporary records seem to indicate only John Ingram. However, he appears to have distinguished his son from himself by naming his son John B. Ingram (Ingram-5369). The B possibly stands for the younger John's mother's maiden name, Blanton.
Ingram-8656 and Ingram-116 appear to represent the same person because: I didn't see your previously created John Ingram when I created mine. I apologize, I just started using WikiTree today.
