This biography was auto-generated by a GEDCOM import. It's a rough draft and needs to be edited.
Accounts I have read say that he died after 1830, either in Pike Co, MO, or Logan Co, KY (which is where is wife Barbara Menefee died a decade earlier). [MBrown]
In 1774, he served a total of 130 days in the Fincastle County militia under Captains Walter Crockat and James Robertson, according to Kegley (q.v.). He served 108 days under Capt. Crockat for which he was paid £8/2/0, and another 22 days under Capt. Robertson for which he was paid £1/13/0.
Subsequently, during the Revolution, he served under Captain Abraham Trigg in the militia of Montgomery County (which was created from Fincastle County in 1777). He seems also to have served in the Continental Army under Colonel Preston about 1781. From the uncertainty of his date of birth, it is impossible to rule out the possibility that he is the Jonathan Ingram who served in the Revolution in Apr 1781 user Capt. Abraham Trigg in Company A.
He appears to have owned property (340 acres) in Montgomery County as early as 1796 or 1797, and perhaps as early as 1789.

Can you check your records and update this profile with sources? You show this person born in England at the same time his parents are married in Virginia. I think you have a error.
