George was born in East Murton, Durham, England, in 1876.[1] His birth was registered in the fourth quarter in Easington. He was the son of Joseph Inman and Ruth Cox. He was enumerated in the 1881 census [2] as a four year old residing with his parents and brother Thomas on Silver street, East Murton. He appears in the 1891 census [3] with his parents and two siblings on North street, East Murton. He stated he was fourteen and a "Coal Miner".
George passed away on September 1, 1891.[4] He was buried in Murton at Holy Trinity Churchyard.[5]
