Biography

Howard Arnold Ireland was born in Meaford, Ontario on August 27, 1870. He was the son of Robert Ireland and Dorothy Ashley.

At the time of the 1871 Canada Census, Robert, Doratha, Theophilas, Harriate, Sandford, William, and Howard Ireland were listed as living in St. Vincent, Ontario^[1].

At the time of the 1881 Canada Census, Robert, Doratha, Sandford, William, Howard, Charles, and Ella Ireland were listed as living in St. Vincent, Ontario^[2].

At the time of the 1911 Canada Census, Howard, Leonore, and Raymond Ireland were listed as living in Brandon, Manitoba^[3]. At the time of the census, Howard's occupation was listed as "Clergyman".

At the time of the 1921 Canada Census, Howard Arnold, Lenora Pearle, Raymond Haines, and Willard Ernest Ireland were listed as living in New Westminster, British Columbia, along with a boarder^[4]. At the time of the census, Howard's occupation was listed as "Clergyman".

Howard died in Victoria, British Columbia on June 3, 1955^[5], and was buried in Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster, British Columbia^[6]. On his death certificate, Howard's occupation was listed as "Retired United Church Clergyman".
