It is assumed he is buried here because his wife was and they died in the same year.

He was the son of James Ireland 1759-1815 and Lydia Smith 1767-1825. He was born in PA but was in Whitewater, Hamiliton County, Ohio by 1808 when he married Sarah Bunnell on 19 Jan 1808. At least the oldest children but maybe all were born in Ohio. They were in Jackson County by 1830.

They had eleven children:

  • Sarah Reeve 1811-1864
  • Elvira/Eliza Stryker1812-1884
  • Elizabeth Johnson b. c. 1816, m. 1837
  • Daniel c. 1818-aft 1892, bef 1900
  • James 1818-1868
  • Mary Parker c. 1818-aft 1873
  • David 1819-1892
  • Isaac 1819-1861
  • William 1821-1896
  • Sarah Crabb 1824-1882
  • Lydia Miller 1826-1901
