Biography
Percy was born in 1874. He was the son of John Irving and Selina Howe. [1]
In 1904 Hannah Elizabeth Herbert and Percy Irving were married . [2]

In 1939 the couple were involved in a motor accident [3] MAN AND WIFE INJURED.
Knocked down by a motor car while crossing the road to board a tramcar at the corner of Ascot Avenue and Remuera Road about six o'clock last evening, Mr. Percy Irving, aged 65, of 677 Remuera Road, suffered concussion and lacerations, and his wife, Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Irving, aged 56, suffered concussion, a lacerated scalp and an injury to her wrist. They were taken in a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. The condition of Mr. Irving today was fair and that of Mrs. Irving serious.
In 1941 they received news that their youngest son Henry (22) was killed in action in Crete. [4]
IRVING. — Reported killed in action, Crete, May 20, Private Henry Irving, dearly-beloved youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Irving, Remuera Road, and loved brother of Lorna, Percy, Sylvia, George, Ila and Frances; aged 22 years.
Percy Irving passed away in 1944 aged 70 [5]
