Mary was the daughter of William Job Irving and Margaret Aitken of Cherry Valley, PEI^[1]

About 1819, she married William Hayden^[1], son of James Hayden and Catherine Haes, and they had a son

1. James Lewis Hayden, born February 6, 1820^[2], who married Ann Tweedy on 20 Feb 1844, daughter of Thomas Tweedy and Ann Wilson ^[1]

Mary died in 1820^[1]
