George Edward Irwin, son of Ann (Dixon) and William Irwin, was born on August 5, 1882 in Unionville, Ontario, Canada.[1][2] His father was a farmer.[1]
George was 27, a farmer, and a Methodist living in Vaughan Township when he married Lilian Alma Mortimer, 24, a Methodist, of Mulmur Township, on December 28, 1909 in the village of Honeywood.[2][3] Lilian was the daughter of Mary (Farr) and Richard Mortimer, a farmer.[3] Their marriage was witnessed by E. Mortimer of Honeywood and Laura J. Lowland of Toronto, and solemnized by D. E. Johnston of Vaughan Township.[3]
George died on January 12, 1953 and was buried in Nashville Cemetery in Kleinburg, Ontario.[2]
