Biography

Joseph was born about 1785. He passed away in 1853. Parentage listed is from Find a Grave, and may be related but improbable as parents.

Research Note:

  • Seems unlikely this is a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Erwin due to birthdate. Their daughter Mary Erwin Lochry Guthrie was born 1755. More like this was a grandson and a generation is missing. Possibly the Joseph Erwin son of Captain Joseph Erwin was among the survivors of Lochry’s massacre in 1781. Paula Thayer . Remove when resolved.
