Biography
Isabella Esson was born on 21 March 1834 in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire and was christened on 27 March 1834. Her parents were David Esson (~1811 - ) and Margaret Gordon (~1812 - ).[1] The estimated births given for her parents are based on Isabella's year of birth.
Isabella married Robert Stewart (1794 - 1879) on 9 November 1857 in Kingussie and Insch, Inverness-shire. It should be noted that Isabella's name is recorded as Eason on the marriage record.[2]
Their daughter was Jane (Stewart) Simpson (1864 - 1912).
Isabella died on 21 August 1883 in Kingussie and Insch aged 49[3].

This profile was initially created with the name back to front. The LNAB should be changed to Esson as per the birth record.
A source could not be found for the birth of Isabella using the location originally given of Kingussie and Insch, Inverness-shire and a date of 21 February 1834. When expanding the location a birth was found with with the date of 21 March 1834 in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire. The parents on this record being David Esson and Margaret Gordon. The Death source tells us that her mothers maiden name is Gordon which would lead to this being the correct record.
