Biography

Hannah Isbell was born in Salem, Massachussetts on March 15, 1644, to Robert and Anne Isbell.

She was married to Thomas Stedman on August 6, 1668, in New London, Connecticut (this marriage was also recorded in Killingworth) as his second wife. There is an irregularity in the records, as she is listed in the New London County Court Records as "Hannah Nicholls" (presumably using the last name of her mother's second husband.

They had two children together: Ann and John.

Death Date Question

The original creator of this record on Wikitree specifies a death date of "Before 1689". However, Mason's work shows that after Thomas Stedman's death in 1701 she remarried to John Fox of New London. Date is being left unchanged in deference to assumption of other researcher's accuracy
