Biography

History graciously provided by John Isenberg, also by way of Irving Isenberg.

The data from the birth of Georg W. Christian Isenberg and earlier generations were gleaned from the Ortsippenbücher for Ober-Waroldern, Twiste, and other towns that John Isenberg and Deborah Ann Herndon examined at the genealogy library in Bad Arolsen in August of 2013. The steward of the cemetery in Ober-Waroldern, who met them on a motorbike shortly after they drove into the village, told them there were no longer any Isenbergs living in the village, but there were still some in the nearby towns of Twiste, Nieder-Waroldern, and Sachsenhausen. On the trip, they visited the Isenberg bakery/cafe in Bad Arolsen, west of Kassel.
