Biography

Mary Isham was born December 5, 1845. [1]

After Philo's death she married Nathan E. Sargeant (1839-1900).

Mary Sargeant died July 8, 1920 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. She is buried in Park Cemetery, Garrettsville, Portage County, Ohio. [2] [3]

625. MARY JANE ISHAM (Nathan Lockwood, Henry, Jehiel, Isaac, Isaac, John), born in Potsdam, N. Y. Dec. 5, 1845; died at Ganettsville, O., about 1913; married first, Dec. 29, 1869, Oscar M. LOGGINS, born at Williston, Vt. Dec. 10, 1842, died there Dec. 4, 1867; married second, Feb. 28, 1870, Philo OLMSTEAD, born May 1830 near Rochester, N. Y., died at Potsdam, N. Y. Feb. 15, 1892; married third, at Tacoma, Wash. Dec. 18, 1898, Nathan E. SARGEANT, born in Pennsylvania, died at Bucoda, Wash. Feb. 17, 1900, as his third wife.

Oscar M. Loggins was a farmer at Williston, Vt. Philo Olmstead moved with his parents to Potsdam, N. Y., when a small boy, and lived there the remainder of his life. Nathan F. Sargeant ran saw mills and shingle mills as well as a hotel and livery stable, before he married Mrs. Olmstead; was on a homestead at Rainier, Wash., at the time he married her.

Children: by first husband: (Loggins) Cora E., b. (???); m. Charles J. B. DeLongy; resided at Potsdam, N. Y. in 1938. by second husband: (Olmstead) Leslie C., b. May 1872; d. Aug. 1872. Alice M., b. July 4, 1874; m. G. P. Healy, who d. Aug. 1905 at Potsdam; had a son and a daughter. Herbert P., b. Dec. 1, 1879; a carpenter and joiner; resided at Cleveland, O. in 1909.

From Mary Jo Bailey (10/04): It looks as if Brainerd may have transposed the marriage and death dates for Loggins, either that or the dates are totally wrong, will check it out.
