Jacob Michael Ittig, second son of Hans Michael, was born before the family left Germany, traveled to England and then crossed the Atlantic and settled in the Colony of New York. He married Margaret Van Slyck, on the 29th of December 1725 in the Dutch Reformed Church of Schenectady. This is the second marriage for Jacob. His first marriage was to AnnaEva Petrie. Jacob received Lot #21 on the south side of the river in theBurnetsfield Patent as a dependent of his father Michael.

Their marriage record, found in the Schenectady Dutch Church archives reads, "December 30, 1725, Jacob Michel Idigh (jm, Maques land) and Margrita Van Sleyck (jd, Maques land)". His name is found among the names of those living in the area of Little Falls in 1763 as a freeholder though it is not which Jacob this refers to. Dates and location of death have not been located, but probably in the area of German Flatts.

At least five children are documented:

  1. Christian (1736-1793) m Margaret Weaver
  2. Johannes, born 28 April and baptized on the 15th of May 1726.
