Biography
L George was born about 1831.
Ancestry has his wife as Emma Bestone, but marriage records show his wife to be Amy Penney. Note that Amy and Emma were frequently interchanged in some church records.
Marriage to Amy Penny in Trinity on 13 Oct 1853, both were residents of English Harbour.
Birth records of George's children have their mother as Emma. This could be a transcription error of there may be another George whose wife was Emma or George had a second wife Emma. Their oldest child of record is Reuben who was born about May 1862, so there are probably missing children. Reuben mentions that he is an older sibling when he signed his brother George's birth record.
I have added George Ivamy (b. 19 Jun 1803 in English Harbour) as George's father purely as a placeholder until I can confirm.
