He married in 1899 to Willie P Shurley, daughter of William F Shurley and Elizabeth P Heath. He was about 21 years old. They had at least 2 children together:

He remarried after 1936 to Willie Mae Jones. He was about 58 years old in 1936. A 1940 census record has not been found. Mrs. Willie Mae Jones Ivey was the informant who signed his death certificate and her name is listed as his wife. It is not likely it is Willie P Shurley Ivey because she died in July 1936. No further records have been found for Willie Mae Jones.

He passed away in 1941 at the age of 63.

  • Fact: Burial (8 Oct 1941) Horeb Cemetery, Hancock, Georgia
