He appears in Pasquotank, NC on a 1754 early census index. [1]

His will dated 15 Sep 1771 mentions his wife Elizabeth, son James ("...Plantation and land whereon I now live to Cow Bridge Branch and all the land belonging to the sd. plantation") , grandson Ivey Burnham (piece of land joining Joshua Burnham), daughter Keziah Jones ("plantation and land belonging to a plantation joining Thornton Gray's mill bordering the swamp to Cow Bridge Branch"), granddaughter Satey (Sadie?) Ivey (cow and calf), daughter Hannah Ivey. Appoints wife Elizabeth and son James as executors. Witness David Burnham. [2]
