My husband, james ivey is the grandson of Thomas Robert ivey. Everybody called him daddy tom. He was born 22 Oct 1883 and died Aug 1982. He lived in and around Mulberry, crawford county, arkansas. Sometimes Mulberry is listed as being in Franklin county because the county bounds changed. Is tom ivey in your ancestry? If so, we sure would like to get some info from you and will furnish any info we can.

Charles A Ivey Jr. was the son of my Great Aunt Margaret Mahaffey and Charles A Ivey, who lived in northwest Arkansas, Madison or Franklin Co.
Margaret died giving birth to her second son, in 1923, I do not know which son Charles was, and know only the name of the one son, but they were both raised by their Aunt Anna Laura Mahaffey, who was married to Arthur C Holliday and lived in Arkansas.

C. A. Ivey, Jr. was my father's cousin. I knew his father and second wife prior to his death in 1972. Charles Jr. had a brother Robert Clyde Ivey and later a half sister. I have quite a bit of family history on the Ivey family if you are still interested.
I am attempting to research a connection of this Ivey to the Ivey families of North Carolina or Virginia.
Very little of his personal history is known except his father and his listed address of Charles Andrew Ivey, Sr. which is 126th St., Los Angeles, California. Any clarifying assistance to prove or disprove a connect to the given Ivey families would be greatly appreciated.
