G. Frank Ivey, Jr., 68, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Dee Ann, daughter, Patty McCreight, parents, Doris and Dr. George F. Ivey, granddaughters Anna and Caroline McCreight, and a stepson, Shawn Refvem, all of Little Rock. He is also survived by a brother, David Ivey of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Frank received a BA degree from Florida Southern College and a Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology. He was Assistant Director of Admissions at SMU from 1967 to 1970 where he organized and directed a national student recruitment program. From 1970 to 1980 he was Executive Director of the SMU Alumni Association.

In 1980 he relocated to Little Rock and served as President of the Independent College Fund of Arkansas and Independent Colleges of Arkansas. In 1983 he founded the Association Management Group specializing in comprehensive management of professional societies, business associations and special projects at state, regional and national levels, including the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association.

He was the first person in Arkansas to become a Certified Association Executive through the American Society of Association Executives.
