Research Notes

Conflicting information in birth year and birth place:

1850 census - born 1790 in North Carolina (age 60) enumerated with her husband, age 66
1870 census - born 1782 in Georgia (age 88) enumerated with her daughter, Jane, and son-in-law, Elijah Boggs

Family researchers on Ancestry.com indicate her father was John Anderson Ivey (1752-1834) and Anna Robinson (1766-1817). John Anderson (possibly the grandson of John Lott Ivey 1740-1812 and Winifred Huckaby 1735-1831) was most likely a descendant of Adam A Ivey and Mary Elizabeth Peebles. More research is needed to prove this line.

There is also a Rebecca Ivey, daughter of Curtis Ivey and Sarah Rutledge, born about the same time. More research is needed to eliminate this possibility.

Her date of death is found in the Boggs Family Bible (her daughter, Jane, was married to Elijah Boggs). It is slightly eligible on the copy but someone has written a note and transcribed it as 8 Dec 1870 from the original source.
