Tekla (Tilly) Iwaniw, the daughter of Jacobi Iwaniw and Irenave Zurak,[1] was born 28 November 1893. Radwańce, Radekhiv, Lviv, Ukraine. After the passing of her sister, Anna in Vilna, Alberta in 1935, Tilly and her daughter Pearl emigrated to Canada, where Tilly was to marry her sister's widower, Michael Mochulski.[2] [3] Tilly and Pearl sailed from Liverpool, England, 3 July 1936 bound for Canada.[4] Shortly after her arrival in Canada, Tekla married Michael Mochulski in Edmonton, 15 July 1936.[5][6]
Tekla passed away in Vilna, 17 April 1981.[7] She is buried in the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Stry, Alberta. [8]
