Joan was buried on 17 April 1786 in St. Buryan, Cornwall, England.[4][5]
Research Notes
We know from Deed papers lodged at the Cornwall Records Office dated 1 October 1796 that Joan Richards was the first daughter of Abraham Jacka.[2] The deed papers also tell us that:
Joan was deceased by 1796.
Joan had married someone with the surname Richards
Joan had a daughter Joan John (wife of Ben John, Mousehole, fisherman)
No marriage record has yet been found between Joan/Jane Jacka and a Mr Richard/s, however the land deed does help to confirm that there was a marriage. However, her daughter Joan, as baptised as the daughter of Franics & Joan, on 23 June 1752 in St. Buryan, Cornwall, England.[3]
The only death recorded for either a Joan, or Jane, Richards before 1796 in St Buryan is in 1786.
