William Henry Jackson was born in 1819. William was a Farmer, commercial fisherman, and employee of Circus. [1]

On 12 Sep 1850 at the time of the 1850 US Census, head of household William Jacksonn (age 30, born in Ohio) was employed as a Farmer and living on property valued at $600 in Middleton, Wood County, Ohio with his wife, Mary Jackson (age 24, born in New York), their daughter Lydia Jackson (age 8, born in Ohio), daughter Anna Jackson (age 6, born in Ohio), daughter Clarissa Jackson (age 2, born in Ohio) and daughter Louisa Jackson (age 2, born in Ohio). Death and Legacy

On 8 Dec 1892, William Henry Jackson died at 73 years, 2 months of age in Nottawa, St. Joseph County, Michigan, United States. William had been employed as a Farmer, and the cause of his death was Pneumonia. [7] William H. Jackson was buried near his wife, Mary E. Jackson, at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery in Dowling, Wood County, Ohio, United States of America [8]

William H Jackson enlisted as Private at age 44 in Company G, Ohio 160th Infantry Regiment on 5 Feb 1864 in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Mustered out on 7 Sep 1864 at Zanesville, Ohio. William was promoted to Full Principal Musician on 13 May 1864.
