Rhoda Jackson was born in Franklin County, Georgia about 1812 to parents James Jackson and Hannah Humphries. Rhoda and Jesse Thomas, Jr. married in Franklin County on 26 March 1829.[1]
Rhoda Jackson Thomas died at some point after the birth of her last child in 1846 and before her husband, Jesse, married Sallie Crawford about 1849 or 1850.[2]
Note: The tombstone for Rhoda was apparently done about the time or after her husband, Jesse, died in the 1880's. The stones appear to be hand made and crudely lettered. Her death date shows 1845 which is clearly wrong as she had a child in 1846. So, details were forgotten in the ensuing years. The stones are now in broken disrepair but there are photos from forty years ago when they were still in one piece and readable.
