Biography

The following bit of bio was posted to her Find-a-Grave Memorial page: Martha D. Jackson, 2nd daughter of Thomas and Eliza Klugh Jackson, was born in the bounds of Abbeville, South Carolina on July 2nd 1827. Her father, a native of Nottinghamshire, England, was a well respected carriage maker. Her parents were charter members of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Martha married Matthew McDonnald (McDonald) in 1845 and had one known child: William Thomas (1846-1916). Martha and Matthew made their home in Abbeville, where Matthew McDonald was an attorney and Clerk of Court.

She passed away on 13 May 1884 and was buried in Upper Long Cane Cemetery , Abbeville, Abbeville County, South Carolina, USA
