Research Notes

It appears there is NO Wm Jackson born 26 Nov 1849 at Perry Barr that married Alice Maud Thompson, had a child in England, went to Australia & had two children there before returning back to England and having more children. Mary Alice Jackson also belongs to another family and was born in England.

  • UK birth registration - Jackson William Birmingham 16 391, Mar 1850. - Perry Barr is in the Birmingham district
  • UK marriage registration - Marriages Jun 1884 - Jackson William Birmingham 6d 26 & Thompson Alice Maud Birmingham 6d 26

Only 2 birth registrations for children of William & Alice are showing in Qld BDM index - Frank William & Alice Jane.

Fanny's DOB seems to be about 20 years out.

This information is from Ancestry.com It is likely that this individual is the child of another family, since the family wound up heading to Canada and then to Pennsylvania, United States. See alleged father's profile for details.

The William who died in Australia does not appear to be part of this family. William born to Elizabeth and John Brown is found him on the 1851 England census. The same William married Sarah Jane Young in Ontario, Canada, and died in Victoria BC (see editing notes by clicking the "edit" tab)
