Biography

William Thomas Jackson was born on 21 July 1861 in De Witt county, Illinois. He was the son of John Alexander Jackson (1820-1902) and Rhoda Ann Harp (1834-1895). William had an older brother, Lewis, one younger sister, Rebecca Jane, and three younger brothers, James Leonard, Charles Lee and Albert. His family was living in Harp township of DeWitt county in Illinois in 1870.[1]

They moved from Illinois to Thayer county, Nebraska in about 1873-1874.[2]

He was married on 10 August 1887 in Nebraska, possibly in Hebron, Thayer county, to Anna Maria Bell (1867-1944). They had three children; Rhoda 1888, Eva Grace 1890, George Jackson 1894.[3]

This family was living in Gilead Precinct, Thayer county, Nebraska in 1900.[3] By 1920, the children had left home, and William and Anne were living in Blue Creek, Garden county, Nebraska.[4]

William died on 27 November 1922 in Oshkosh of Garden county, Nebraska and his body was buried in Oshkosh Cemetery.[5]
