Catharine Dolan was born in about 1856 in St Helens, Lancashire. She was the daughter of Patrick Dolan.
Catharine married James Jackson on 30 Aug 1875 at St Thomas' Church in Eccleston, Lancashire. James was 21 and a miner; Catherine was said to be 17. Neither had been married before, and both were living in Eccleston. Their fathers were named as Richard Jackson (plasterer) and Patrick Dolan (labourer). The witnesses were James Ford and Alice Jackson.
It's unclear what happened to James after 1875, but there are no birth registrations for Jackson children with mother's maiden name Dolan. Whatever the story was, there can't have been too much ill-feeling between the Jacksons and the Dolans about it, because Catherine's brother Michael married James Jackson's sister Alice in 1898, and Alice and her father were already living with him by 1891.
Catherine was in a relationship with James Seddon from 1887 or earlier. Their first child, John James Seddon was born in 1887; his birth was registered in the third quarter of the year, in Prescot district.
Their second child, Mary Alice Seddon, was born in about 1891; her birth was registered in the first quarter of 1891, in Prescot district. Both births were registered as if the parents were married already.
Catherine married James Seddon on 15 Oct 1892 at Christ Church, Eccleston. James was 31 and a miner, and hadn't been married before; he lived at 23 Gladstone Street, Eccleston. Catherine was also 31 and a widow; she lived at 22 Gladstone Street. Their fathers were named as William Seddon (labourer) and Patrick Dolan (labourer). The witnesses were Michael Dolan and Alice Fisher.

Catherine's father was named Patrick Dolan, and he was a labourer - this was stated on both her marriage records. In the censuses of 1891-1911, her birthplace was given consistently as St Helens.
The only match for this information is the family in the 1861-1881 census records listed below in the Sources section. A profile for the father Patrick Dolan of this family exists on WikiTree. However the Catherine Dolan in that family was listed as Catherine Dolan, not Catherine Jackson, in 1881.
There there was another Catherine Dolan of similar age in St Helens in 1871, who was the daughter of another Patrick Dolan.[1] This other Catherine was born in Ireland according to the 1871 census, however unlike the first Catherine, she did have a brother Michael, and a Michael Dolan was one of the witnesses at Catherine's second marriage.
So it's not clear at present which of these two Catherine Dolans married first James Jackson and later James Seddon.

Therefore these two Catherines are the same person, and her maiden name was Dolan, and their husbands also need to be merged, so I will also propose a merge for their husbands. The children of both Catherine profiles do not require merging, as only one profile appears to exist for each. To demonstrate these are the same family, here they are in 1891 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:7788-73Z
and in 1901 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X9LV-NF7
and the two eldest children are the same in both.
