Biography

Having to guess her last name due to the flourishing fade caligraphy of the marriage cert of her daughter - It could be - Jaensorn it could be Iaeksorn it could be Jaeksorn - Ok so its Jackson -- duh.

Helen JACKSON was born in 1807 in Edinburgh, Midlothian. She married William FOTHERINGHAM on 24 February 1826 in St Cuthberts, Midlothian. They had four children in 15 years. She died on 28 September 1872 in St Ninians, Stirlingshire, at the age of 65 (got some of this from Ancestory.com - Alan James Duncan Family - some from National Records of Scotland)

William Fortheingham/ Helen Jackson Had their marriage banns read at St Cuthberts Midlothian to Helen Jackson and was named as a Mason. It said he was living at Spences Place , Port Houptoun. Helen Jackson was said to live at Castlebarns and her father was James Jackson Cowfeeder
