Robert Jackson was born 14 Jan 1786 in Inverurie, son of George Jackson and Margaret Maitland. Robert married Catharine Jackson 29 JUL 1813 in Kintore[1]. In the 1841 census, they were on High St, West Side in Inverurie with their children Janet, Catherine and George[2]. Catherine and George were also with them in the 1851 census, still at High Street[3]. Also there was their grand daughter Ann Wyness, child of their daughter Helen. In the 1861 census, still on High St., Robert is now a widowed retired merchant living with his dau Catherine, a dress maker[4].
Robert, a Manufacturer and Merchant, died 09 Sep 1866 at High St in Inverurie. He had a disease of the heart. His grandson, William Wyness, also of High St in Inverurie, was the death informant. Robert is buried in the Inverurie Bass Cemetery in Inverurie.
