Biography

Frances M. Jackson was born in 1905 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, the daughter of Charles G. Jackson and Martha Carey (Charles’ second wife).

In 1905, the Jackson family lived on the first farm South of Pleasant Hill, Newton Township, Miami county, Ohio, when their third child, daughter Frances was born on 7 March 1905. At the time, Charles Grant Jackson was 37, a farmer, who was born in Montgomery, Ohio. Martha Jane (Carey) Jackson was 32, born in Newton Township, Miami, Ohio. [1]

Miss Frances Jackson and Willard F. Alexander were married on 19 September 1923 in Swisher county, Texas. [2]

In 1930, the Alexander family lived Castro, Texas. The household included Willard F. Alexander, 29, born in Texas (as were his parents), a farmer who rented their property, not a veteran, who married at 25; his wife Frances M., 25, b. Ohio (as were her parents), married at 18. Both Millard and Frances could read and write; their children, Frances M., 5; Millard J., 4; and William, an infant.[3]

Frances is the daughter of Charles G. and Anna M. (Carey) Jackson. She was born in 1905 in Ohio, and died in 1987 in Stanislas, California. Frances is buried in Patterson, Stanislaus, California. She married twice. First to Millard Filmore Alexander. Next she married Jessie R. Auldridge, on 2 August 1969 in Reno, Nevada. Frances’ residence record is as follows: 1910, Loramie, Shelby, Ohio; 1920, 1930, Crosby, TX; 1935, 1940, White Mountain, Lincoln, NM; 1947, 1950, Richmond, CA. Frances had two children. A son, Millard Filmore Alexander, Jr, son of Millard, Sr. And a daughter, Wannita, whose paternal parentage seems to be in question. Wannita’s father may be Millard, Sr., Osmar A. Vaughn, or someone else. It’s possible that Wannita was adopted, I suppose. [4] [5]

She died 17 February 1987, aged 81, and is buried with her husband Jesse Auldridge in Patterson District Cemetery, Patterson, Stanislaus, California. [6]
