One of his school books, Algebraical Examples for Lower Forms, has the following written on the first page: "Herbert Jackson. Bracken Rd. Lightcliffe Road. Brighouse, Yorkshire. Oct 3rd 1894. BHGS." There is an intersection of Bracken Road and Lightcliffe Road in Brighouse, so perhaps he lived on that corner.
