Beaumont was born in England on 9 June 1861.[1] He was the son of John Jackson and Ann Beaumont.

He was a monumental mason.

Beaumont married Annie Broughton in September 1882 in Huddersfield.[2]

He came to Manitoba with his wife and children (except Herbert, who had immigrated a year earlier) in 1904.[3][4]

Beaumont died in the R.M. of Minto, on January 24, 1915. He is buried in Boyd Cemetery.
