Hannah "Mary" Jackson was born between 1787 and 1790, in what is today Washington county, Tennessee, a daughter of George Jackson and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsey" Jobe. On April 16, 1812, in Jonesboro, Washington county, Tennessee, Hannah married John Conkin, born circa 1776. Hannah Conkin is mentioned in her father's Will. 
Hannah was 82 years of age, and signed her name as May or Mary Conkin, when she made her declaration of a Widow for pension, under the Act of February 14, 1871, in Washington county, Tennessee. Her claim, based on her husband's military service, during the War of 1812, was rejected February 2, 1872. The affadavits contain information regarding her descendants, who
