Alfred Jackson is a part of US Black heritage.

Alfred Jackson was born in approximately 1844.

Prior to being freed, Alfred was enslaved by Dr. McCullough in Washington Co., Virginia.

He began to "cohabitate as husband and wife" with Fannie Johnson in 1863. On 27 February, 1866 they were registered as being living together in Washington County, Virginia. At the time, they had no children. He was listed as being a farmer.

Not sure why, but when I click on the little map icon, it takes me to the village of Washington in Rappahannock Co., I don't think that is where it is supposed to go. Maybe put 'Washington County' in the location field?
