Biography

My G Grandfather John Greene Jackson was born in 1877. He passed away in 1952. John Greene was one of six children born to William David Sr. and Louisa Jane Jackson. January 5 1898 He married Jessie Neal in Taylor County Texas, John and Jessie had five children, three of which survived. In the early 1900's they moved to Oregon and according to my grandpa Willie Stonewall, operated a small dairy farm. By 1940 they would settle in the Vernonia area in Columbia County where John worked for the Railroad. Apparently sometime between 1940 and 1950 John and Jesse moved to the Oregon coast settling in Wheeler; John preceded his wife Jessie in death suffering a stroke . Both John and Jessie are buried in Tillamook Oregon south of Wheeler, according to the caretaker the five plots including the two where they are buried were purchased by and under another persons name.
