James (26) married Mary Ann Graham (15) (born in 1856 in Mor Armagh, Ireland) on June 13, 1872 in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.
James (29) married Mary Garrity (16) (born in 1858 in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland) on September 11, 1875 in Rockhampton, Queensland. Their daughter was Mary Ellen Jackson (1880–1975).
James died on February 6, 1906 in Queensland, Australia, aged 59. He was buried in Mount Morgan Cemetery, Mount Morgan, Rockhampton Region, Queensland.[2][3]
